2020 Show Updates
Due to the ongoing issues created by the coronavirus, a number of changes for AMTC’s schedule of shows have been made.
- Annie’s performance dates in June / July have been cancelled. Annie will now be on at the end of the year, in November (dates to be confirmed)
- Jesus Christ Superstar, which was going to be in November, is being held over for 12 months, until November 2021
- JAM dates for October remain in place, but will need to be reviewed subject to the ongoing social isolation practises put in place by the government. Further information will be made available once known
- We are looking for people and ideas for an April 2021 show. Make yourself known if you are interested

Annie Rehearsals Have Started

The next 4 months will see our cast, crew and orchestra bring Annie to the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in June / July. Tickets will soon be available for purchase, so get in early for the best seats (although they are all good!!)
Annie (Mackenzie Bonney) and Oliver Warbucks (Mark Harris) will definitely not look as they did on the first night of rehearsals, when it comes to showtime.
Another of our cast, Smudge who will feature in Annie (with his owner Jaimie), and Paul Fraser, the director of this production, about to issue pearls of wisdom to the cast.

Annie Is Coming to Town

The Production Team for our 2020 show “Annie” is almost complete, but we are seeking expressions of interest for the significant role of choreographer. Annie is set in Depression era New York City and we intend to invoke an authentic representation of the era, including in the style of movement.
If you are a skilled choreographer with excellent communication and collaborative skills, have experience working with children and adults and are enthusiastic about this production, you are invited to submit an expression of interest by email to Annie@AMTC.org.au. The closing date for expressions is 20/11/19. Your expression of interest should include a resume of your skills and experience, your reason for applying and any thoughts you have about how you would envision the choreography for numbers like “Hard Knock Life”, “Easy Street”, “Fully Dressed” and any others you wish to add. If you are selected, you will be expected to commit to the full program of auditions and rehearsals which will commence on February 8 and culminate in six performances from June 26 to July 5 at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. Rehearsals typically are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and there will be occasional Sunday rehearsals. Dates are available on application. There will be a public information night on Wednesday Jan 29 at which we would expect to introduce the production team. You will also be expected to become a member of AMTC, have or obtain a Working with Children Check and abide by the AMTC Code of Conduct. Please be aware that there will be a dog in the production. |
