Audition opportunity

Attached is information regarding auditions for an overseas performance troupe. It is not an AMTC organised event. Please read the information if you are interested. It would be a fantastic opportunity, but there is significant cost involved.

AUDITION OPPORTUNITY

NSW Minister for the Arts visits amtc

NSW Minister for the Arts, the Hon Don Harwin, along with local member Hon Gareth Ward visited amtc for a tour of the “shed” and a meet and greet with Committee members and past presidents. It was a cordial and productive meeting. Gareth has been a long standing supporter of amtc. We enjoyed introducing our activities to the Minister for the Arts.

And the car. It’s being “deGreased” and re-birthed for an appearance in “The Great Rock Musical” on stage very soon.

LITTLE MERMAID CASTING

The AMTC production of “LITTLE MERMAID” will be based on an adult cast. This production is NOT a junior version of the wonderful Broadway show. There is some capacity for younger performers, but largely not in the main roles.

Experienced teenage performers are encouraged to audition. Please attend the Information Night on June 13th at the SEC from 7pm.

Great Australian Rock Musical

Here are the blokes feeling quite at home in the shed…the “Great Australian Rock Musical” is going great guns in rehearsal! Get your tickets for this fun show in July at the SEC

Tri-monthly meeting

Our tri-monthly meeting on Tuesday May 30th will be held at our new rental premises, 68 Meroo Rd Bomaderry, starting at 7pm. Come along to check it out and hear the latest Company news. There is so much happening this year! Bring a folding chair and something to share with a cuppa.

Storage and construction facility for AMTC

We are delighted to show you the extra warehouse space we are renting in Bomaderry to construct and store set pieces for our shows into 2018. It is large enough for us to rehearse cast with the sets to the size of the stage at the SEC.

Many thanks to the small group of willing workers who moved set pieces on the weekend. Their average age was 60!

Vale Keith De la Torre

It is with a heavy heart that I report to you all that our dear gentleman set builder, Keith De La Torre, passed away late this afternoon. Our thoughts and love are with Marie and the family.
